Rachel Ann Serakas, 38, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Thursday, December 26th, at her residence. She was a loving daughter, sister and granddaughter with a big heart.
Born in Pottsville on February 25, 1981, she was a daughter of the John & Margaret (Wanzie) Serakas, Schuylkill Haven.
She was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School, Class of 1999.
Rachel was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven.
In addition to her parents, she is also survived by a sister, Laura Snyder & husband, Kevin, Northampton, a brother, John Serakas & wife, Tiffany, Mt. Carmel, maternal grandmother, Jacqueline Wanzie, Schuylkill Haven, nieces: Johanna & Willow Snyder, aunts, uncles, cousins, and her cat, Hannah.
Rachel is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Walter Wanzie, and paternal grandparents: Anthony, and Anna Serakas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven, at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 2nd, with Rev. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik officiating.
A viewing will be held Thursday from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. in the church's chapel.
Interment will follow mass at Cressona Cemetery, Cressona, PA.
