Randy F. Taylor, 71, of Port Carbon, passed away Sunday, March 1st, at Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg surrounded by friends and family.

Born in Pottsville, on September 9, 1954, a son of the late Robert & Frances (Ulmer) Taylor.

He was the husband of Lynne (Martin) Taylor.

Randy was a Pottsville Area High School graduate, following high school he attended HACC, where he obtained his associates degree in Police Administration.

He was employed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Capitol Police Officer following retirement he was a part time police officer in Port Carbon until fully retiring in 2018.

He was a life member of the Good Will Fire Co. No 1, Port Carbon where he served as Chief Engineer for 46 years.

He was also a member of the Bethany Christian Fellowship Church, Cressona where he was formerly head trustee and Vice President of the board.

In addition to his wife, Randy is survived by sons Brandon Taylor, husband of Tasha, Cape Coral, FL and Christopher Taylor, husband of Tiffany, Naples, FL granddaughters Vivian and Sage and one on the way; and a sister Linda Taylor, of Port Carbon and many nieces and nephews whom he loved and cherished deeply.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

The family requests donations to the Good Will Fire Co. No. 1, 88 Washington St., Port Carbon, PA 17965 or Bethany Christian Fellowship, 102 Front St., Cressona PA 17929.

Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Schuylkill Haven has been entrusted with the arrangements.
