Richard Dronick, Sr.

Richard J. “Rich” Dronick Sr., 60, of Cressona, passed away Sunday, March 22nd, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St., Pottsville.

Rich was born in Pottsville on December 23, 1965, a son of the late Merlin & Frances (Bortzel) Dronick.

Together 45 years, he was the husband of Lisa J. (Barnes) Dronick.

Rich was a 1985 graduate of Blue Mountain High School.

He was employed as a Kettleman at D.G. Yuengling & Sons, Pottsville for 25 years.

Rich loved playing cornhole, softball and coaching hockey. He also served as past Cressona Fire Chief. 

In addition to his wife, Rich is also survived by three sons: Bryan Dronick, husband of Joanne, Summit Station, Richie Dronick, husband of Lindsay, Allentown, and Daryl Dronick, York. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Kylie, Daniel, Natalie, Brody, two sisters: Dolly Maleck, Schuylkill Haven, and Francine Dronick, Cressona, a brother Paul, widower of Karen Dronick, Minersville, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Rich is also preceded in death by a brother, Merlin B. Dronick.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 31st at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home in Cressona, PA. A public viewing will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Cressona Cemetery.
