Richard D. “Rick” Eisenhower, 72, of Pottsville, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – East Campus, Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville on December 21, 1953, Rick was a son of the late Harry and Emily (Searle) Eisenhower.

Rick graduated from Minersville Area High School, Class of 1971. He played the trumpet in the band and was frequently pulled out of class to play Taps for funeral services and Memorial Day services.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran, Minersville.

Married for 36 years, Rick was the loving and devoted husband of Patricia “Trish” (Brennan) Eisenhower, the love of his life. Rick and Trish were truly inseparable and cherished the life they built together. Whether sailing, riding motorcycles, antiquing, or traveling, his happiest moments were those spent by her side. Rick was a wonderful man whose warmth, kindness, and genuine spirit touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Working in the parts department, Rick was employed by Miller’s Chevrolet for 15 years, and Bob Weaver Chevrolet for 2 years. He retired after 30 years from Denney Electric where he provided counter help and skilled electrical advice.

Rick was a member of the Free & Accepted Masons, Cressona Lodge #222, where he had served as Past Worshipful Master, and was an honorary member of the Pennsylvania Sheriffs’ Association. He served in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was also a member of the Harley Owners Group. A man of many interests, Rick enjoyed sharing his musical talents by playing guitar and piano with “Good Life.” He was also an avid hiker who found great pleasure being outdoors.

In addition to his wife, Rick is also survived by his beloved dog Patches, loving nieces and nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his siblings Henry Eisenhower and Shirley Schaeffer.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, September 21st at Lord Ebling Haus Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. in Pottsville, with Rev. Robert Wallace officiating.

A viewing for family and friends will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, September 20th at Lord Ebling Haus Funeral Home and on Monday, September 21st from 11:00 AM until time of services.

Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
