Robert E. Dargis Sr., 61, of Frackville, passed away Monday at Schuylkill Center.
Born in Shenandoah, Sept. 21, 1954, he was a son of the late Anthony Dargis and Philomena Lenortavage Koss. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Frank Koss.
Bob loved Harley-Davidson motorcylces and the biking community.
He had been previously employed as a pipe fitter.
Robert is survived by a son, Robert E. Dargis Jr., Newark, N.J.; two daughters, Jamie Detweiler and husband, John, and Ashley Dargis, both of Pottsville; four grandchildren, Dominic, Owen, Faith and Karma; siblings, Tony Dargis and his wife, Pat, Quakertown, Tommy Dargis, Shenandoah, and Patricia Lombardo and her partner, George, Ringtown; nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven, with certified celebrant Rebecca Devlin officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. The family requests donations to Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., 25 E. Main St., Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972, to defray the cost of funeral expenses.
