Robert L. Rice

Robert L. Rice, 82, of Orwigsburg, passed away Monday, January 20th, at Luther Ridge, Pottsville.

Born in Sellersville, PA on August 17, 1942, he was a son of the late Jacob & Nora (Alderfer) Rice.

Married 60 years, he was the husband of Ruth E. (Teuscher) Rice.

Bob was a Souderton High School graduate.

After 19 years, he retired from Berks County Prison as a correctional officer. He had been previously employed by Mid Atlantic Canners for 15 years.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by three sons: Byron, husband of Stephanie Rice, of Orwigsburg; Kyle, husband of Cindi Rice, of Deer Lake; & Kenneth, husband of Laura Rice, of Schuylkill Haven. Bob is also survived by grandchildren: Ashley, Zachary, Joshua, Mitchell, Caleb, Kendra, Aaron, and Reagan; great grandchildren: Dominic, Gio, Jade, Levi, Holden, Emmett, Roman, & Josiah; & siblings: Vernon Rice, Bird in Hand, David Rice, Nebraska, & Mary Martin, Fleetwood.

Services will be privately held at the family’s convenience.
