Ronald L. Sherman

Ronald Sherman, 87 of Pine Grove, passed away on Saturday, March 2nd at Orwigsburg Center with his wife, Raedelle by his side.

Ronnie was born in Pine Grove to the late Amy Ferebee.

Ronnie attended pine grove high school and was drafted and served in the US Army from 1959 to 1962.

He married Raedelle in May of 1964.

He was employed by Quaker Alloy, Myerstown for 29 years, and Donmoyer trucking for 13 years retiring in 2002.

Ronnie loved fishing and hunting. He had a boat named Rae, and visited Landingville on a regular basis with Raedelle by his side. He built his home on Birds Hill and was most proud of his orchard and livestock.  He loved his Harley motorcycle and had many pets with most memorable being Bobby, Taffy, Tinkerbell, and Butterscotch.

He was a member of Hetzel's church and lifetime member of Rock Fish & Game.

He is survived by wife, Raedelle, and siblings, Karen Kreiser, Lebanon, Joyce Bates, Lebanon, and preceded in death by brother Gene Ferebee and brother-in-law, Marlin Stump, wife of Delores Stump, Pine Grove, and numerous nieces and nephews. He also has remarkable neighbors, Chris and Lynne Lenick and Lamar and Wilma Sensenig.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 8th at the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren, Pine Grove. A viewing will be held from 9:00 AMuntil the time of services. Interment will follow at the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Pine Grove.
