Thomas J. Zenker, 93, of Auburn, passed away Sunday, November 15th, at Schuylkill Medical Center East, Pottsville.
He was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 6, 1922, to his late parents, Joseph & Ella Zenker.
Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Hilda (Moore) Zenker on October 14, 2009, and by a brother, David Zenker.
He attended Andover Prep School and graduated from Peddie Prep School. He attended Yale University for one year, prior to serving in the U. S. Army Air Corps.
Thomas was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Summer Hill, Auburn.
He is survived by a son,Timothy Zenker & wife, Amy Marshall, The Dalles, OR, a daughter, Penelope McLellan, step-daughter, Pamela Ball, Auburn, step-son, Garth Stickel, Port Orange, FL, grandchildren: Fred, India & Charlie Zenker, Matthew & Erin Ball, Caitlin Stickel, Kelsey McLellan and Meghan Warden, and a brother, Robert Zenker.
A private graveside service will be held at the family’s convenience.
At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 101 Frack St. Frackville, PA 17931-1734.
