Wilfred S. Daubert, 94, of Cressona, passed away Saturday, August 16th at Green Valley Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville on April 10, 1931, he was the son of the late William and Viola (Haas) Daubert.

Wilfred was the husband of the late Doris E. (Berger) Daubert.

He received an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Penn State University.

Wilfred dedicated 20 years of service to the Cressona Borough Police Department, spending 18 of those years as Chief of Police before his retirement.

Wilfred served 20 years in the U.S. Army attaining the rank of Sergeant First Class. He was awarded two Purple Hearts during service in the Korean Conflict.

He was a life member of Black Diamond Lodge #80; a member of the Fraternal Order of Police; Cressona American Legion Post 286; and TREA: The Enlisted Association.

He is survived by three daughters, Donna, wife of Steve Fedoriska, of Nevada, Cindy, wife of Bob Schaeffer, of Auburn, and Carole, wife of Ron Schafer, of Schuylkill Haven; grandchildren, Steve Fedoriska, husband of Frances, Jennifer Bujak, wife of Tony, Kendra Reich, wife of Travis, Rachel Stoudt, wife of Eric, Jared Schafer, husband of Heather, and Brynn Schafer, husband of Nicole; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Cadence, Jack, Lorelei, Brady, Carson, Kyler, Mila, Poppy, Kennedy, Jared "JJ" Jr, and Landon; nieces and nephews.

Services and interment will be privately held at the family's convenience.
