Beverly (Yeager) Bohr

Beverly Bohr, 86, of Orwigsburg, passed away Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, at Rosewood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Schuylkill Haven.

Beverly was born on Aug. 23, 1935, near Snydertown, Northumberland County, a daughter of the late Margaret Eva (Robbins) and Orville Elmer Yeager.

Beverly courageously battled and conquered polio as a child. She was a 1953 graduate of Danville School District and a 1957 graduate of Millersville State College, with a degree in elementary and special education. 

She taught at Williamsport and Lewisburg School Districts before teaching at Blue Mountain School District for 30 years, where she was loved and respected by her students whose many lives she touched. Beverly enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, traveling and collecting Raggedy Ann and Andy memorabilia. She was a member of Zions Lutheran Church, Orwigsburg.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph Yeager and Lawrence Yeager.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and is survived by her sons, Bradley Bohr and wife, Cynthia, of Wyomissing, Brian Bohr and wife, Anita, of Palmyra, Barrett Bohr and Kimberly Powell, of Philadelphia, and Blair Bohr, of York; two grandchildren, Alexander Bohr and wife, Madeline, and Caitlin Mullins and husband, Ryan; and great-granddaughter, Penelope Mullins. Other survivors include brothers, Gerald Yeager and wife, Audrey, of Catawissa, and Roger Yeager and wife, Judy, of Muncy; and many nieces and nephews.

All services will be held at the convenience of the family in spring 2022.
