Charles E. Walton

Charles “Charlie” Walton, 90, Cressona, passed into his eternal home and the arms of his Savior Friday April 15th. His life was marked by a deep faith in Jesus and a life of service to Christ, others and the Church.  
Born in Pottsville October 5, 1931 Charles was the youngest of four children of the late Charles E. Walton Sr. and Helen Coleman Walton. He was a 1950 graduate of Pottsville Area High School. 
In 1954 Charles married the love of his life, Florence Czebieniak, to whom he was married for 65 years. He was a long-time member of the Bethesda E.C. Church, Reedsville where they both loved singing in the choir. 
Charles was the founder of the Charles Walton Insurance Agency in 1968, retiring in 1994. His legacy lives on in its 3rd generation now as the Walton-Ebert Agency in Cressona.  
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, wife Florence, sisters Evelyn Berger and Lois Weiss and an infant brother.  
Charles is survived by his loving daughter Diane (Glen) Ebert, Cressona, loving son Richard Walton, Pine Grove; beloved grandchildren Deanna (Brent) Martin, Pottsville, Eric (Jessica) Ebert, Frackville, Laura Ebert, West Chester and Rachel Walton, Orwigsburg; beloved great-grandchildren Sophia, Miranda and Zachary Martin and Alice Ebert; loved nieces and nephews. 
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 pm, Sunday May 1st at Bethesda E.C. (Reedsville) in Schuylkill Haven with visitation starting at 3 pm with Pastor Jeff Beyerly officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
