Eileen C. (McCormick) Kuchinsky

Eileen C. Kuchinsky, 74, of Pottsville, passed away Saturday, May 8th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St., Pottsville.  
  
Born in Shamokin on November 18, 1946, she was a daughter of the late James F. & Irene M. (Rhoades) McCormick. 
  
She married her loving husband, Anthony Kuchinsky on October 16, 1971. 
  
Eileen was a graduate of Penn State Schuylkill, and Pottsville Hospital School of Medical Technology. 
  
She worked as a phlebotomist for Omega Labs, Good Samaritan Hospital, & Pottsville Hospital. 
  
Eileen was a member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.  
  
She enjoyed sewing and crocheting, especially amigori animals and popular figures. Eileen loved to read, and space station watching with her husband and grandson, Brett.She enjoyed learning to drive all over again with grandson, Jacob; and baking with granddaughter, Cheyenne.  
  
In addition to her husband, Eileen is also survived by two daughters, Mary Ellen, wife of Dale Cochran, of Macungie; and Tina Kuchinsky, & her fiance Mike Wiley, of Hazleton.  
  
She is also survived by grandchildren: Jacob Freil, Mahanoy City, Cheyenne Cochran, Macungie, & Brett Cochran, Macungie; as well as a sister, Marie, wife of Stan Poremba, of Kulpmont; & a brother, James F., husband of Diane McCormick, of Shamokin. Eileen is also survived by a niece, Denise Hackman and husband, Cory, Highspire, PA, a nephew, James Kuchinsky, Jr. and wife, Susan, Auburn and her brother-in-law, James A. Kuchinsky, Sr. and wife, Nancy, Summerfield, FL.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded by her sister, Catherine in 2018, brother, Andrew in 1963, nephew, Edward "EJ" in 1991, and niece, Kristen in 2018. 
  
A Catholic Memorial Service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, May 13th at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Pottsville. 
Interment will be privately held.
