Harold Edward Roach

Harold Edward Roach, 64, of Harrisburg, formerly of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Tuesday, February 9th, at home. 

 

Born in East Orange, NJ on October 1, 1951, he was a son of the late Harold & Millicent (Blaise) Roach.

 

He was the husband of Jenifer L. (Stoner) Roach.

 

Harold was a graduate of Athens High School, Wisconsin, and received an associates’ degree from University of Wisconsin.

 

He served in the U.S. Army as a Captain. 

 

He was currently employed by the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as Director of Safety & Security and the Upper Bern Township Chief of Police.

 

Harold was a member of the PA National Guard and Ready Reserves as a Captain, and Civil Air Patrol as a major. 

 

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martina Mary Theresa (Donahue) Roach, and his son, Timothy Roach.

 

In addition to his wife, Harold is survived by a daughter, Heather Mannon & husband, Brian, Lake Wynonah, and two sons Harold M. Roach & wife, Jeanie B., Mesa, AZ, Patrick M. Roach & his fiance, Amanda Reinert, Schuylkill Haven.  He is also survived by a sister, Susan Meir & husband, Lee, Kentucky, three brothers, Richard Roach & wife, Greta, Washington, David Roach & wife, Jane, Wisconsin, & Steven Roach & wife, Renee, Tobyhanna, PA, grandchildren: Cathy Mannon-US Navy Operations Specialist, Samantha, James & Kyle Mannon, Charles & Thomas Roach, & Terrance Henderson, as well as nieces & nephews, and friends, Paul & Carol Deibert.

 

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 25 E. Main St., Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven, at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 17th. 

 

A viewing will be held Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc. 

 

Interment will be at 1:30 p.m. at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, on Wednesday. 

 

At the family's request, memorial donations in Harold’s memory may be sent to Patriot Guard Riders, PGR-PA, 789 Washington Pike Avella, PA 15312.
