James McKeone Obituary

James L. "Jim" McKeone, 78, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Monday, February 22nd, at his residence.   
  
  
Born in Pottsville,on March 6, 1942, a son of the late Margaret (Reber) and LeonardMcKeone. 
  
  
He was the husband of Allana M. (Nagle) McKeone. 
  
  
Jim was a graduate of Muhlenberg Township High School. He was the owner and founder of Plain N' Fancy Donut Shop, Schuylkill Haven, which he started in 1965.   
  
  
He was the former President for seven and half years of Ruth Steinert. He and his beloved dog Rocket were active volunteers, where he dedicated many years and raised funds for the non-profit. He was also a member of Robert E. Baker American Legion Post #38, Schuylkill Haven. He was the race director for five years at the Alpine Mountain Ski Area. 
  
  
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons James R. McKeone husband of Cindy, South Carolina and Joseph McKeone husband of Pam, South Carolina; grandchildren Patrick, Zachary, Jessica, Christiana and Brittney McKeone ; and brother Guy McKeone, Reading. 
  
  
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Schuylkill Haven, at 10 am on Saturday, February 27 with Pastor Janet Lewis officiating. 
  
  
A viewing will be held prior from 9 am until the time of the service.   
  
  
Entombment will be held privately.
