Larry Brindle Obituary

Larry E. Brindle, 73, of Pine Grove, passed away Friday, Dec. 25, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

Born June 7, 1947, in Huntingdon, he was a son of the late Harry Doyle and Gladys (Shultz) Brindle. He was the husband of Joanne (Shalamanda) Brindle.

Larry was a graduate of Huntingdon Area High School, and later earned a bachelor's degree from Juniata College.

He enlisted in the Army National Guard in 1969, and was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant in 1976.

Larry was currently employed by Miller Building Systems, Meyerstown.

He served as the former president of Cardinal Wrestling Club Boosters for 10 years. He was such a proud father of his kids and all their accomplishments in sports growing up, and more recently, his grandkids following in their footsteps. Larry loved being by his pool with his grandkids and vacationing with his wife and family every summer on their yearly vacation. He also enjoyed accompanying his wife to the casino and golfing with friends.

In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by five children, Grant, husband of Jaclyn Brindle, of Lenhartsville, Jamie, wife of Abe Hitz, of Pine Grove, Kevin, husband of Jennifer Brindle, of Mar Lin, Garrett Brindle, of Philadelphia, and Andrea Esterline, of North Carolina. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Ava, Ella, Carter, Luke, Rylinn and Olivia; his canine companion, Rex.

Services and interment will be privately held at the family's convenience. At the family's request, memorial donations in Larry's memory may be forwarded to Colon Cancer Foundation.
