Linda Bryden Obituary

Linda Ann Bryden, 75, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Friday, June 10, at Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg.

Born Feb. 5, 1947, in Pottsville, she was a daughter of Eula Mae Florence (Dennis) Koperna, Schuylkill Haven, and the late Andrew David Koperna.

She was the widow of John Charles Bryden, her husband of 51 years.

In addition to her father and husband, Linda was preceded in death by her nephews, Matthew and Blaine Koperna.

She was a 1964 graduate of Nativity BVM High School and earned her associate degree from McCann School of Business & Technology.

Linda was of the Catholic faith and was a member of the Schuylkill County Historical Society.

She was the former co-owner and co-operator of Forget Me Not Florist, Pottsville.

In addition to her mother, Linda is survived by a sister, Patricia Miller Wallace, wife of William Wallace; and two brothers, Andrew, husband of Judy Koperna, and Roger, husband of Teena Koperna, all of Schuylkill Haven; as well as nieces and nephews, and an aunt, Margaret Phillips, Fort Myers, Fla.

A Catholic memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 16, at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven, with Monsignor Edward Zemanik officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately. At the family's request, donations in Linda's memory may be forwarded to Hillside SPCA, PO Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901.
