Mario G. Basile

Mario G. Basile, 82, of Auburn, passed away Sunday, May 2nd, at home.  
  
Born in Castroregio, Italy on December 8, 1938, he was a son of the late Pietro & Lucrezia (Mollo) Basile. 
  
He was the husband of Anna E. (Grover) Basile; to whom he was married 59 years.  
  
Mario was a graduate of Liberty High School, Bethlehem. He earned his BA from Moravian College in 1974, and his MBA from Lehigh University in 1984. 
  
He was of the Catholic faith. 
  
Mario was a Free and Accepted Mason. 
  
He was currently employed as an auditor for the Schuylkill County Controller's Office. Mario was previously employed by Bethlehem Steel; as well as the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Treasurer's Office. 
  
In addition to his wife, Mario is also survived by his daughter, Tina M. Basile, two grandsons: Nathaniel, & Jacob Florence, all of Bethlehem, his sister, Maria Pagano, and his brother, Francesco Basile, both of Pavia, Italy.  
  
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister, Mariangela Basile-Manieri. 
  
Services and interment will be held at a later date.
