Obituary

Martha M. Dear, 92, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away Thursday, April 27, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg, where she had been a resident.

Born Oct. 20, 1930, in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late William and Martha (Gorman) Burke.

She was the widow of John F. Dear, who passed away in March of 2002.

In addition to her parents and husband, Martha was preceded in death by her siblings, William, Charles and Walter Burke and Dolores Neville.

Following high school graduation, Martha completed training at Bok Vocational School.

She had been employed as an account manager in the food service industry.

Martha was a devoted Catholic and member of St. William Roman Catholic Church, Philadelphia.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda, wife of Chris Ingaglio, Auburn; three grandchildren, Melissa Ferrier, wife of William, Spring City, Jessica Liberato, wife of Salvatore, Auburn, and Phillip "Gus" Ingaglio, Penn State; great-grandchildren, Phoebe, Fiona, George and Sophia; nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, at St. William Roman Catholic Church, Philadelphia. A viewing will be held from 8:45 until 9:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia.
