Richard Wagner Obituary

Richard D. "Wimp" Wagner, 72, of Landingville passed away Monday, February 26th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St., Pottsville. 


Born in Pottsville on July 28, 1951, he was a son of the late Jay & Joan (Walters) Wagner.


He was married to Judy Ann (Hoffman) Wagner for nearly 51 years.


Wimp was a 1969 graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School.


He was a member of Welcome United Methodist Church, Landingville. Wimp was a devoted member of Landingville Community Fire Company, where he served as past fire chief. He also belonged to the Shirttail Inn Hunting Club.


Wimp worked for Omnova Solutions for over 30 years.


He is survived by a daughter, Wendy Wagner, of Landingville; and two sons: Paul Wagner, of Pottsville; & Michael Wagner, of Landingville; two grandsons: Zachary, & Andrew Wagner, a brother, Hugh Wagner, of Schuylkill Haven; & a sister, Elaine Mamrak, of Easton. 


A viewing will be held from 9:30-11:30 AM on Friday, March 1st at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven.


Interment services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, March 5th at Park Hill Cemetery, Landingville.


The family prefers remembrances in the form of contributions to Landingville Community Fire Company, 1 Firehouse Rd., Landingville, PA 17972.
