Ronald Lee Kintzel

Ronald Lee Kintzel, 77, of Pottsville, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021 at the Pottsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born February 21, 1944 in Pottsville to the late Abel M. Kintzel and Marie L. Dewalt Kintzel, he was the husband of the late Nancy Lee Ziegler Kintzel.

Ronald was a graduate of Pine Grove High School, class of 1961 and a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard from 1965 to 1977. While in the National Guard, he was awarded a Sharpshooter commendation. He was in the 228th Supply and Transport Battalion.  Ronald was also one of the founding members of the Kintzel Brothers Quartet.  He worked as an accountant at the Economic Opportunity Cabinet in Pottsville and retired after ten years. 

Ronald was of the Brethern Faith.

Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, an infant daughter Kelly Marie and sons Daniel Lee Kintzel and Christopher Lee Kintzel.

He is survived by his brothers Maurice, William, David and Mark; a granddaughter Samantha Kintzel and several nieces and nephews.

Services and interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
