Mary A. Bensinger, 80, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Friday at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Allentown.
Mary was born in Bromerstown, on March 7, 1937, a daughter of the late Katie Fromm and Oscar Keller.
She was the widow of William H. Bensinger, who passed away in 2000.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Schuylkill Haven, and was formerly employed by local textile factories.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Lurda Reber and Helen Corondi, and a brother, Jay Keller.
Mary is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Zimmerman, Schuylkill Haven; sons, Daryl Zimmerman, Schuylkill Haven, and Scott Zimmerman, husband of Kim, Homestead, Fla.; stepchildren, Greg Bensinger and Ellen Seigfried; grandchildren, Kristy Hedesh, Blake and Tyler Bensinger, Alex Seigfried, Morgan Stein and Jennifer Capiga; great-grandchildren, Cory Zimmerman and Justin Chenesky; granddog, Bentley Zimmerman; nieces and nephews, William Reber, Carol Clauser, Larry and Thomas Corondi and Karen Schultz.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven, with the Rev. Janet Lewis officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held at 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Thursday at the funeral home. Family requests donations to American Lung Association of Pa., 3001 Old Gettysburg Road Camp Hill, PA 17011. Interment will be held at Summer Hill Cemetery.
